From June 2023 there will be a change in the download functionality, as a result of our new ePub reader. We are implementing a single chapter download per student, per book, per semester (4 months) for all titles that have ePUB3 file format (this is now the default format for the majority of our titles). For titles that are still in PDF format, users can still continue to download 5 pages as before.
- Can I download the whole book via chapter download?
No, once you download a chapter, you will have to wait until next semester (4 months) to download a new chapter.
- Why is the existing feature changing?
Our new ePub reader has been designed to improve the reading experience and make it more accessible. The changes bring many benefits including better media integration, improved display across devices and font size to be altered. The download functionality is another of these changes. The nature of ePUB files (the default format in our ePub reader) means it is not possible to have a 5 page download in the same way it is for PDF files. However, we believe that being able to download an entire chapter at a time makes for a more valuable reading experiencing.
